Field Improvements

The Robbinsdale Area Youth Baseball Association is committed to improve the baseball fields in each District 281 city we play in. Successfull fundraising and lots of volunteer help make field improvements possible. RAYBA partners with each city to help offset the cost of field improvements. Here is a list of field improvements by field:

Bassett Creek - Crystal

• 2005
• RAYBA Contribution = $700 and labor ; City of Crystal = Labor
• Rebuild pitching mound
• Outfield fence cap
• One practice hitting station
• 2004
  •  RAYBA Contribution = 1/2 cost ; City of Crystal = 1/2 cost

Mike Smothers Memorial Field - Crystal Airport

• 2005
  • RAYBA Contribution = $2,100 and labor ; Minnesota Sports Turf Management Association = cover costs, provided heavy equipment and volunteer labor

    • Sod around pitching mound and home plate area repair
